Stormy weather

The big blizzard forecast for tomorrow is starting already - some people are calling it Sheila's Broom, as there is often a big storm here on Patrick's Day. At any rate, it promises to be a doozy, with high winds and up to 40 cm of snow.

So the roads were busier that usual today because people were preparing - mostly grocery shopping by the looks of it. And we drove my parents to the airport so they could leave before it started! I am so relieved that they were able to get out on a flight today - they were scheduled to leave tomorrow for a trip to South America, but I don't expect any flights to get off the ground tomorrow!

So Bon Voyage to Mum & Dad, and Batten Down the Hatches to the rest of us - thar she blows!
