A Dusting

Yesterday's storm brought a light snowfall on the mountains. They have been snow free, even the gullies that hold on through some years. Castle Hill Peak, on the left, is the high point of the Torlesse Range (1997m, 6553ft. It is named after Castle Hill Station, a high country farm on the other side. It seems strange to me to name a mountain after a hill. However, the hill is a fantastic place which has featured in several movies.

I like the shadows in the early morning. They reveal the shapes of the ridges. More detail in large.
