Central School of Speech & Drama, London

Laurence Olivier, Judy Dench, Vanessa Redgrave and Harold Pinter all went to this drama school in London which is by Swiss Cottage tube station.

Elsie Fogerty started it at the Royal Albert Hall in 1906 to offer a new way to train actors. It moved to the old Embassy Theatre in Swiss Cottage in 1957, which is the building you see here. In 2005, Central became a college of the University of London.

The Queen gave it the title 'Royal' in 2012, so although it's now officially called the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, everyone still calls it 'Central'.
