Banksia

I noticed this Banksia this morning as I was walking to the school so I dropped back this afternoon to grab this image. I think due to its height it is Banksia cunninghamii.

I find Banksias are fascinating shrubs, many require quite hot bush fires to prepare the seed for germination. My daughter also lives in the suburb of Banksia.
