Elephant's Foot - Bakewell Old House Museum

One of the stranger (and most popular) exhibits in the Bakewell Old House Museum is this elephant's foot, which has been turned into an umbrella stand, something that was not unusual in Victorian times.
It belonged to an elephant that was part of a circus that came to Bakewell but sadly it ran amok on the May 25th 1905 and got shot dead!
Apparently there are now 5 people all claiming to have one of it's feet.
