In passing

Blue eyed

Back to the Mecca Masjid today morning, where getting in with cameras is a matter of luck. Mostly it's to do with the gatekeeper's mood. Today cameras were allowed, but bags were not.

We enjoyed our time among a sea of pigeons as they fluttered by. People from different religions were inside the premises, feeding the birds. Children were happily playing, even crawling all over the pigeon poop. It's always great watching their enthusiasm. This is one place kids and photographers surely love.

Whenever I have visited the old city, seen it from the surface, exchanged a few words with strangers, it has never looked hostile or dangerous. And yet it is considered a communally sensitive area. In fact the Masjid has suffered a bomb attack a couple or so years ago. Seems hard to believe, from what we have seen. Incredibly sad too.

Had yummy breakfast afterwards. Now back to wallowing in the laziness weekends permit.

Here are a few more from today.

P.S. Had a bit of choosing to do and wasn't too sure. But this cute kid made the it quite easy.

Edit: This is my 700th entry too. Yay!
