Double Shot Mummy

By JPS

Last day madness!

Packing for three kids (Let alone their mummy and daddy), is always a challenge. I have to say this time has been the least stressful though :-) I use Google Docs to view my 'NZ Packing List' template and adapt it according to the children's current age and needs.

We even managed dinner across the road tonight!

Oscar of course is coughing away madly tonight. Without sounding negative, I'm predicting he will come down with a bug or tonsillitis especially for NZ. Let's call it mummy's intuition.

Bailee and Oscar are stupid excited. They wouldn't go to sleep... Oscar was slithering around on his bedroom like a snake, (as you do...) Bailee 'forgot' how to close her eyes.

We had parent interviews today. Let's just say Stu and I are feeling proud. Apparently they are very grounded, well-rounded, kind, considerate, respectful and smart children. Sometimes they (Yes in this case, both of them), don't listen... but we knew that! Bailee and Oscar have very differing strengths. Bailee loves maths. A lot. She is also good at writing and can write her own name now. Oscar is extremely inquisitive. He is fascinated with the world, loves to ask questions and loves learning.

So bright and early tomorrow we will catch a cab to the airport along with our three suitcases, buggy, 5 carry ons, a camera bag (And three kids). We can't wait to see Granny and Grandad, Nanny and Pop, Aunty KP and Tim (The reason we are going!), and everyone else including 'Joey' the parrot!
