Yes meeting where Gordon Brown's dad preached

Tonight Barbara and myself went along to a local YES public meeting, to listen to Mike Small, a blogger, Carolyn Leckie from Women for Independence and the author and playwright Alan Bisset.

The venue was the local kirk, St Brycedale, where at one time the father of Gordon Brown MP was the local minister, and no doubt gave lots of sermons his son listened to. He probably would never have suspected one day the preaching would be of a very different variety.

It was a busy meeting, and at the end Alan Bissett read his poem "Vote Britain", which if you are interested you can listen to on youtube from the link I've made.

I had difficulty getting positioned for a good shot, but you can see Alan sitting on the platform to the right as you look.
