Nothing to do but wait

Both the swans were at the nest when I stopped at the artificial island on my way home from work this afternoon. Shortly after I'd taken this photo, the female got up from the eggs and went for a swim while the male took her place on the eggs.

I almost blipped a Coot, which is one of the other birds at the island but I kept going back to this shot of the pair of swans so I changed my mind and decided to post this one instead.

Work was quite exhausting today so I'm now hoping for a very quiet rest of the evening and a much-needed long lie in tomorrow. Whether I'll get them is another matter.
