30: 100 Days of Happiness

Slightly scary looking doll! The older I get, the creepier dolls look.

Busy day today! Bought some fruit plants - gooseberry, blackcurrant & tayberry (??). Then panicked bought stuff for Kirsty's baby shower in Iceland. After I realised I was still down to work in Cardiff at the same time the baby shower started in Swansea!

Legged it home after apologising to Kath. Soaked & prepared some buckets to plant the fruit plants in. Then changed, packed and drove to Kirsty's in time to help prepare by endlessly blowing up balloons & preparing kirsty's labour bag.

The labour bag has a disposable camera in case people forget to charge their cameras, sweets & snacks, some Lansinoh breastfeeding cream, two muslins and a puzzle book (& pen!) in case Kirsty has to stay in hospital for any reason.

Baby shower was great fun! My first one. Played lots of games organised by Angharad, who very much suits the gamemaster role. Games included guess the baby food, diaper derby (hence the doll), making & decorating bunting with helpful advice and who can drink the most juice from a baby bottle in 20 seconds. Which I failed miserably at, kept laughing at Sue chanting Suck! Suck! SUCK!
