Party, party

Mr hazelh and I had a fabulous Saturday night at a 50th birthday party. We were guests of one of our friend K's girlfriends who came to visit us in Edinburgh to celebrate K's 50th birthday last October.

The birthday girl hired a hall and invited friends from each episode of her life to come and celebrate with her. They were from her home in Kent, university in Cardiff, early career in Bristol, and recent life in Northumberland.

The hall was beautifully decorated, and the food and drink divine, but best of all was the music. The husband of another of the girlfriends who visited us last October was DJ for the evening and had assembled a superb playlist that was perfect for the party cohort whose own music era is the 1980s. Mr hazelh, K and I barely left the dance floor all evening. Indeed Mr hazelh danced so much that he had to change his top three times during the party.

Exercise today: lots and lots of dancing.
