Waterfoot Sunrise

Buzzing Bees

At long last a day with a bit of warmth, helped by the cold wind of the past few days abating. Even the opportunity to sit outside for a wee while and read the Sunday papers. Good weather, a nice coffee or two and a pile of papers to read - now that's makes my ideal relaxing Sunday!

One of the joys of sitting outside is being able to listen to the sounds of Spring, something that we are denied indoors behind all our double glazing and insulation. Apart from the many birds filling the air with their lovely songs, it was the sound of numerous buzzing bees that caught my attention. I have never seen as many so early in the year. Must be something to do with the mild winter.

Whatever, it provided the opportunity to use the wee compact to get up close and personal and capture some of their fine hairy detail! For some reason the grape hyacinths were getting all the attention.
