Baby You're a Rich Man

Today was a very special day as I went with three friends to Raymond Blanc's restaurant Le Manoir in Oxfordshire to treat a friend to a very special Birthday lunch. It was all fabulous, the food, the garden, and the attentiveness of the staff, making you feel special but not at all stuffy or formal.

This is the croquet lawn with the Dovecote in the background which you can stay in. We didn't ask the price.We did catch a glimpse of Monsieur Blanc in the garden. He's pretty hands-on I think, and deserves his success.

By the time we'd eaten coffee and home made biscuits, canapés, a five course lunch and more coffee and petits fours we were pretty full . It was all extremely delicious, and almost as good as LooseCanon's Mother's Day dinner he cooked last night. And no, L/C his coffee wasn't as good as yours.
