Oor wee school....

Photographing primary schools is rightly fraught with legalities, so the answer is to go very late, when everyone has left. Kingsland Primary School opened to its 400 pupils (including nursery) in February 2010, at a cost of £8.5m. It's a very attractive building. My own memories of primary schools are not all positive.

"O, oor wee school's a great wee school
It's made of bricks and plaister
The only thing that's wrang wi' it's
The baldy-heeded maister

He goes tae the match on Saturday
He goes tae the Kirk on Sunday
And prays tae God tae gie 'im strength
Tae belt the kids on Monday."

Happy days.......I don't suppose the many encounters I had with the dreaded Lochgelly Special did me any real harm.
