A taste of the exotic

My day has been mainly about DIY. I have been meaning to catch up with lots of little jobs that needed doing at my Daughter's flat and whilst she was out with the children, I got on with some of them. I lacerated my finger on a jutting out screw, tipped a whole toolbox full of screws all over the floor and got white paint on my dark trousers. Sometimes you've just got to smile, grit your teeth and say 'Oh well', otherwise you go to the middle of a field and scream!

On a positive note, hubby did do dinner without any prompting. We had red Thai curry so I thought I'd blip the orchid bought for me yesterday for Mother's Day, as I thought it would carry on the exotic theme. It wasn't until I looked at the photos of it, that I realised how much like polystyrene they look close up. I've never owned an orchid before....lets hope I don't kill it.
