A Day At A Time.

Lost In Translation

I was feeling much better today, so Mum and I went to La Dispensa in Puerto Cabopino for Mother's Day lunch.

She had booked and although it was quiet when we arrived at 1:15, it was packed by 3 o'clock!

Through the misspellings, we could make out that a gentleman with the unlikely name of Frankie Valentine was to croon to us through our lunch and so he did.

Mum thought he was lovely and he even came over and crooned specially for her . I thought she was going to choke!

The food was excellent and the service extremely slow but that didn't matter a bit. The sun shone from a cloudless sky and so we sat outside on the terrace and basked in the warmth. When we left at a quarter to four, Mum had had a wonderful time.

And as the sign said, "Buy your mother a glass of wine on Mother's Day. After all, you are the reason she drinks!"
