Queen and Castle

An early start after some "interesting" dreams! E returns home today [and we're off to Warwick] so we made the most of breakfast with her, fairly leisurely as usual . Been great company, spent several hours just chatting with E, such easy company and plenty of life experience to talk about.

While doing our porridge breakfast had a call from L to say they've had the go ahead on a project - that means at least a weeks work for me starting immediately, going in to collect the information tomorrow.

In the meantime, 10am departure for Warwick to collect K2. Good progress as the early rush hour stuff had gone, arrived at just after 12. K2 is coming home for a while - her leg is in plaster with a fractured metatarsal - a Wayne Rooney I'm told [doesn't bear thinking about....]

Still, her leg in plaster doesn't stop her arranging lunch at a pub - The Queen and Castle - in Kenilworth! Fortunately easy access for her to get in and around too. And the service and food very good, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours unwinding and catching up on events over the last few weeks.

After a relaxed and enjoyable meal in a pleasant and friendly setting we manage to get K2's gear loaded into the car for a 3.30pm departure. I rested on the journey up while K drove, my turn to drive back. Apart from the usual traffic around the M42-M5 it was a fairly relaxed journey back. Another call for business on the way back, this time for some photography work. If that pans out I'll no doubt be posting in due course [after Easter is the timescale at the moment].

Home again by 6pm ish and we settle in for a quiet night.......
