Poor mites - NOT!

Today was the first time I'd taken the guinea pigs to the vets. We went by train to Ewell West, where there are two great vets who know a great deal about guinea pigs. I was very worried for the furries as they've been suffering for a while, but the vet diagnosed them within seconds. They have a mite problem. Apparently all g-pigs have mites, but sometimes they do cause problems and need to be killed off. So, after the round of injections, we left for home, waiting at the station amidst the wildflowers for a train to take us home. I'm feeling greatly relieved to have the guineas on the road to recovery.

I should say that one guinea pig, Trick, is in great health so must have a cast-iron immune system, despite (or maybe because of) being the oldest of the g-pigs.
