White Hawthorn

Now is the time to spot the White Hawthorn (Prunus Spinosa). You'll easily find it in hedgerows dotted around the countryside. But you need to be quick because the flowers will be gone in a few days.

Why bother? Because come late September/early October these trees cum shrubs will hopefully be loaded down with Sloes.

Sloes = Sloe Gin (buy it duty free whilst on holiday)
