Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

This is the front cover of the first book produced by Sangorski and Sutcliffe in 1911, which was lost on the Titanic. This book was originally written in 1125 AD. The reason I took this photograph was inspiration about Iran and its treasures at a lecture I attended today.

I had to work out how to take the photograph as I have never taken a book cover before, so it was a case of standing on a chair, yet another skill to practise!

I definitely have Iran on my travel list once the political situation has improved.
