Sasha (right) and Sweep. When I got my first flat I was desperate to have a dog but as I'd be out most of day it wasn't fair so I decided on a cat.

Me and future hubby went to Edinburgh cat and dog home for a 'look' and came away with these sisters. We had planned on getting a cat just not 2 !

They are now 14yrs old and still going strong. Sasha still thinks she rules the house and Sam learnt early on they were not to be messed with.

Hubby isn't much a fan of cats but I know deep down he loves them as much as I do :-)
