Sunrise

It is 8.08 am and the sun is yet to rise. It won't be until just before 9 am that the sun will finally show itself above the horizon on this December morning. By that time, the cloudcover will have extended almost to the eastern horizon and rain is starting to fall. Not much later, the winds will increase to galeforce and disrupt our ferry service.

The hour before sunrise is one of my favourite times of the day.
