Shepard's Bush

Walking another day today with a group and now close to home in the dunes, where we found a shepard at ease in the bush ~ tending his small herd of sheep ~ what a pastoral scene!

Up till a few years ago shepards could only be found in the East of the Netherlands at the moors, but now some start this job in the urbanized West too; after all after being made redundant it's a nice mixture of being outdoors and being needed.
