Dark-bellied Brent Geese

Off to Norfolk for a long weekend and as we're passing Lynford Arboretum we dropped in to catch the Two-barred Crossbills. An enjoyable wander round, good sightings of Hawfinch, but we only caught the one Crossbill and that's the "dubious" one. It's referred to as a first-winter male (or hybrid/Common Crossbill). Not seen either a Common Crossbill or a Two-barred Crossbill this year and not sure what to do with this one but RCB's blipped it as a Two-barred Crossbill.

Continuing on our journey, we were going to be a little early for our "hosts" at the "cottage" so headed to the coast at Stiffkey where we found these three Dark-bellied Brent Geese.

Back to the main road, we gave way to three cars one of which was our "hosts" - they were planning on being there over an hour ago, so another stop at Morston Quay to give them a chance to settle in before our "surprise" arrival at the "cottage".
