Big Almaty Lake.

Went for a little road trip up to Big Almaty lake this morning with a couple of friends, our driver and a picnic lunch... Not quite sure what we expected, but didn't think the lake would be totally frozen over and rather chilly...we abandoned the picnic idea but still had a good look around and took lots of photos... and ignored the signs in Russian (which I googled when I got home and as we guessed they said Entry Forbidden!! good thing our Russian is not very good). The road in places was very icy..good thing we had a good driver with us...don't think I would have liked to tackle it by myself. (For more pictures go to my flickr page
