Lion's Teeth

Otherwise known as "Dandelion" (Dent-de-lion). It was called this because the petals are said to be the shape of a lion's teeth.

They are supposed to be very good for you, with all sorts of health benefits, and are often used in Chinese medicine.

That's my excuse for finding this one in our garden today.

You can blame children for the fact that they are found everywhere in the U.K. - every child loves to blow the seed heads to tell the time - in fact I still do, that's why I don't wear a watch. Mind you, I'm late for everything!
