York Town Hall

We went for a drive today to the Town of York.
York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia, situated 97 kilometres east of Perth.
Home to 2,088 people, it was settled in 1831, only two years after Perth was settled in 1829.

York's historic Town Hall was built in 1911.
It's very well maintained in it's original state, jarrah floorboards and beautiful balustrade staircase.

It was very humid inland today, on the way home the heavens opened we drove into heavy rain, by the time we reached home, Mindarie on the coast, we hadn't had any rain at all.
A good day!
