April 5th 2009 - A fine fellow

I woke up at 6.15am and stuck on the TV in time to watch Jenson Button win the Grand Prix and see Man Utd nick the win against Villa. We went to buy water and snacks before heading home for postcard writing. Afterwards we hit the beach which is when Sara, Rachel and I tried out snorkelling, which was very cool. We didn’t see any turtles but the sheer magnitude of fish was incredible – they were literally surrounding us at one point.

Rachel, Chloe and I wandered across the rocks to a lighthouse for a different view on the landscape. With the town in the background I managed to get up close to this fine fellow. What a beauty! We headed home past a political (beach and BBQ) party – Ecuador does everything better! – before helping out with tea, talking snorkelling experiences, played more cards and had more chats with our neighbours upstairs before beds were calling.
