Carberry Tower

I went for one of my drives down the A1 as it had brightened up somewhat from the endless days of cloud, mist and rain. Ended up turning off towards Dalkeith and then came across a sign for Carberry.

There's a nice historic house there, that I imagine is a really good wedding venue and Mary Queen of Scots surrendered here in 1567 to her rebellious nobles.

This is a shot of some street lamps on the road up to the main grounds. I didn't hang around, as there was a wedding reception in progress!

Might visit it again sometime.
