at home with an Ivysaurus

That's not a knife in Ivy's hand- it's a piece of gummy back paper. She was helping Colin and I make a collage to contribute to a wonderful exhibition in Glasgow's gallery of modern art. You're encouraged to make a piece of art to put on the wall- I can really recommend it, particularly for children (looking at you Brooke). If you go, see if you can spot our work- it's a badly drawn dinosaur saying 'rawr' with an ivy leaf underneath.

Long day in Glasgow. We went to Mandors to get Ivy some stretchy lycra (swishy wishy fabric). There's some at Gaelic toddlers she's a bit obsessed with. It turned out to be very expensive per meter, but when Ivy saw it her face lit up so I got it for her anyway. Working on designing a waterfall out of it for behind her future book nook so it's always about for playing with. She spent the evening puddling about with her swishy wishy fabric and gathering it into a pile.

Met Sam for lunch and we went to the project nomadic cafe that had moved down from Ullapool to beside Mandors. Had some lovely ginger, parsnip and chilli soup. Ivy really enjoyed it.
