This is the Lighthouse Field station. One of three field stations which are part of the University of Aberdeen .It was established here in 1990 and ' our research aims to understand how natural and man-made environmental changes influence the behaviour and population dynamics of marine mammals and seabirds '. A field work assistant is required for the Summer what a great and rewarding experience for someone !
An Alan Stevenson lighthouse established in 1846. A white tower which is 13 metres high with 38 steps to the top.

We had a lovely roast dinner of slow roast pork with all the trimmings at Sutor Creek with my Mum, Dad, Richard and Ashlene. Very enjoyable and then a walk along the road above the links looking at all the interesting houses and the view. We past the 'Fair ground ride' going to a new place on the way. It was on the back of a huge lorry.
Beautiful day with a rainbow viewed from the Udale bay hide going across one of the rigs and down to the Marco Parlo that was docked in Invergordon. Plenty of geese and red shanks seen.
