Fittie and Harbour

A busy day today, in the first part doing a bit of DIY shopping, culminating in a visit to B&Q. We managed to find everything we need so a successful morning. In the afternoon we headed for the beach. Quite a long stroll on the beach and the adjacent road.

The visit to the beach are took in Fittie (Footdee) to see if there were any changes. Some of the gardens reflected the changing season but none had reached the flamboyance some of them show in folk summer.

There were a lot of people around. The day was trying to allow some sunshine to show through the cloud, though there was a strong wind coming in from the south. A number of supply boats were leaving in the mid afternoon. I managed to catch a photo of this one from the North end of Fittie as the ship was leaving harbour. Having left Aberdeen the ship proceeded more or less directly towards the north, while the ship following headed in an Easterly direction.

We finished the day with a carver dinner at the local hotel.
