Alternative Boat Race

It was the Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race today and we headed down to the Thames at Isleworth where the RNLI were organising an alternative Boat Race. This was supposed to consist of 250 model remote controlled boats making their way roughly 750m up the river. All the advertising we had seen had said it would start at 3pm, but when we got there it turned out it was 4pm. So 4pm came and went ans still there was no sign of it starting, after waiting for another half an hour we decided it was too cold so we headed home!

No model boats but I was happy with this shot as it summed up what was a rather moody/grumpy afternoon! Excuses from us were feeling the after effects of yesterdays wedding!
