Syrup

I make my own cough syrup with this herb. It has amazing properties. It is antibacterial, antiviral, anti sceptic and is also anti cough (antispasmodic)!! Plus other fabulous healing properties.

I pint water
30 gms/1oz chopped thyme
450gms/1lb sugar/muscovado or honey

Add chopped herbs to water with a tight fitting lid boil and summer for 20 minutes. Cool slightly then sieve out the herbs and keep the liquid. Warm the liquid and add sugar/honey stir and simmer to reduce a little. Cool and bottle.
