Wild swamp

It's been another wet day, which made it difficult to decide where/what to do. In the end we bought a picnic and William drove us to Netley Abbey and the country park which runs alongside Southampton Water. There was just a fine mizzle when we started our walk, but by the time we decided to call it a day it was blowing right across the park and Southampton had disappeared completely!

The spring growth is definitely a few weeks further on down south, and the trees and shrubs are greener here. But the rainy mist and greyness of the day made me turn to mono again. I was caught by this wild area of boggy swamp, with many varieties of vegetation, bare trunks and branches, and pools of water - so this I my blip today.
