Mature fruit bearing Cocoplum

This is one of the most bountiful Cocoplum bushes I have ever seen. The red fruit is ripe. When it gets to purple it is too ripe. I have seen many bushes but never in the fruit bearing time before. They taste pretty good. Bet the Indians who lived on our shores harvested these in past, when they lived in the area.
