Not Mono Monday: Wood

I had fully intended joining in with the challenge today... I knew exactly what I wanted to photograph, but when it came to it, I just couldn't! This is my little wooden figure I call 'The Crying Man' but I guess he could be praying instead of crying. He stands about 8 cms high and is carved from a single piece of wood. If you look closely you may be able to spot that he is sitting cross-legged with his face buried in his hands. When it came to converting it to black and white though, I just couldn't do it - I couldn't lose the rich, natural colour of the wood. Sorry!
