Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Pony

After escorting 6yo to her second party of the weekend at the foot of the village, 9yo and I carried on down the hill to the river.

The nature reserve was quiet apart from a couple of voles who seemed as surprised to see us as we were to see them. We then pottered along the river to Esholt before making our way back up the hill through Tong Park.

These small ponies (not much more than a metre high) are regulars in a field above the main Tong Park herd which has featured in previous blips. Perhaps a horsey person can advise me as to whether they're Shetlands or something else?

A bit too cool and showery for butterflies, so we're still stuck on three species for the year, but nice to get out for an amble.
