Just past Jason are two more people and several sheets of MDF all in a space about 2.5 x 2.0 metres, trying to put up walls which have to reach up to the steeply sloping ceiling.

At one point we had three chippies, a plumber, two electricians, two metalworkers, two decorators, me, Sam, Gareth and Andy all working in the space which in total is approximately thirty square metres, together with all their kit, consisting of tools, tool boxes, electrical equipment, panels to form the new walls and sections of counter

Amazingly, everybody remained cheerful, got on, helped each other and by the end of the day most of what we'd hoped to get done was fixed in place. Various unforeseen problems had been resolved and we were all able to get home at a reasonable time
