A study in green

This is our front garden taken from my bedroom window (as far as it would open).

It's suddenly come alive and I love all the different foliage shapes and variations of "green". There will soon be a lot of colour starting with bright pink and dark tulips. A few red tulips and some dark red wallflowers have opened this past week. I planted a curve of box hedging about 2 years ago to separate 2 sections of the garden and they are finally beginning to make a bit of an impact. The garden started over 10 years ago when we dug out 22 tons of soil (by hand) to create the sunken central circle. The piece of driftwood in the centre comes from Canada.

I used a wide angle lens to include as much as possible, then used a graduated filter in lightroom on the left hand corner to take the exposure right down to darken the car parked on the driveway.
