Local Eyesore

This 'wonderful edifice' is, believe it or not, is a listed building; a notable relic of the concrete structures built in the 70s. Instead of giving it a demolition order, it has just receive a complete facelift with new windows etc.

This was my first choice of image for today's Shakespeare challenge for 'Eyesore':

Eyesore
Valentine to Orsino of Olivia in 'Twelfth Night'

So please my lord, I might not be admitted,
But from her handmaid do return this answer:
The element itself, till seven years' heat,
Shall not behold her face at ample view,
But like a cloistress she will veiled walk,
And water once a day her chamber round
With eye-offending brine; all this to season
A brother's dead love, which she would keep fresh
And lasting, in her sad remembrance.

Many locals weep the 'eye-offending brine' when this is viewd from far and wide!
