Route Planning II

After tea we donned our walking boots and went up East Lomond. It's the second of the hikes I'm planning for the Beaver Scouts for their Hikes Away badge. The Bros have walked up there many times but we had no idea how long it took or the distance or elevation gained so we set the app on my phone to tell us the information with it's magic trickery.

Bro3 has set a decent pace which Bro4 just about kept up with so the Beavers have no excuse. 1.1km from top car park to summit, height gain of 90m, 18 mins (Bro3) 19 mins (Bro4). This gives us plenty of time to stop for slow walkers, to point out various landmarks & views, have snack & juice at the top wind permitting or slightly lower down out of the wind and wander back down within the hour & a half of the Beaver meeting.
