Lesser celandine, Ranunculus ficaria

This is common celandine seen in wet woodland around the margins and in moist clearings.

I hadn't really appreciated until today that the underside of the petals has a red blush, particularly in young flowers.

I have tried to show it in this blip.

Thank you all for yesterday's stars, especially as it was just a garden blip. Today, I ventured a little further afield.
