Light & sight

We all love to moan about the process, but there are some consolations to getting older, aren't there? Wisdom, experience, self-confidence, and (usually) more money in our wallets, although various people may have pre-existing claims on said cash. But one thing I really miss about times gone by is the casual insouciance of youth: that sense of time being on your side, that sense of semi-immortality you have as a 20-something, when you're done with the sometimes taxing and tedious process of growing up and being a teenager, and the world awaits. Now that I'm ahemmity-hem years old I feel...vulnerable...in ways I never used to.
