British Museum

Went with our friend Keith to the Vikings Exhibition at the British Museum. It was very disappointing. Though the tickets were timed, they were hopelessly oversold and the place was rammed. You couldn't get near to anything to see it (and you needed to be near as most of the artefacts were very small) unless you stayed in a shuffling line like a chain gang. It was most unpleasant.

We had lunch outside, and then went to The Petrie Museum around the corner. It is a tiny museum packed full of literally hundreds of thousands of Egyptian artifacts. It's very interesting and unusual.

We headed home after that and when we gut bs m Betsy and I took Charlie out for a walk - it was beautiful and warm in the park.

Watched the final of The Great British Sewing Bee. I love that programme and haven't missed an episode.
