been a bit of a hard week. dad has been in hospital, not making too much progress, good days and bad days really. i've been busy going back and forth, and blip seems to be the first thing to go. he's been moved to a new hospital today, a little closer to home. hopefully a new routine will help him to get stronger and get home soon.

it's always nice to get back home and the familiar comfort of housework - who'd have thought?! and today i even managed to do my all time favourite job of cutting the grass. the kids had a good time playing outside all afternoon, finding their feet on their dad's old skateboards. and farming worms, and collecting nice stones, and pickling grass (?), and making assault courses. i think they'd forgotten how much fun it is just being in the garden.
