Tuam St

A typical street scene in Central Christchurch - all very necessary to restore the underground services, but it is frustrating trying to drive - although today I was walking so that is much easier :-)

This is looking west along Tuam St from the High St corner (beside McKenzie and Willis). The old city Council buildings are in the distance, behind the brick building on the right, and are being de-marshmallowised (unwrapped from the white film which is wrapped around while buildings are being deconstructed). The building is completely gutted, the scaffolding is being taken down, so I guess it is being prepared for demolition.
