Vault

Two concrete box halves fitted together and buried will make an underground vault for utilities such as cable, telephone, and fiber optics. Concrete collars sit on the hole in the top to adjust height of the manhole. Conduits feeding into the holes in the ends will carry the cables. Connections can then be made inside this little underground room. Extra conduits will undoubtedly be buried to provide for future growth.

This work is preliminary to widening of the road from four to six lanes. The underground natural gas lines have already been completed.
