these lights are broke, but you'd not know it...

bought a tree today. its a small one. not a christmas tree at all, but a buxos or something like that. one of those small bushes that people trim into different shapes in the gardens of stately homes. this one is shaped like a christmas tree, only it'll not drop leaves and can go in the garden when the season is all over... we'll let it grow and then sculpt it into, well, who knows? Probably a christmas tree for next year! :-)

funny in the shops today - everyone, including me - was very vague. it was ok though. we didn't stay long. after the tree, we put up the lights and a little tinsel and now the place is looking festive. its very cold and it rains a little, but has been mostly sunny, suggesting the pink sky yesterday was mostly true.

i smell dinner. my wife is making it. it'll be my first christmas as a married man. :-)
