Cute baby

They may not look so to everyone, but I think Coot babies are cute.

I'd stopped at the artificial island again on the way home from work but the Great Crested Grebes were nowhere to be seen and I could not get even a glimpse into their nests because both the swan and the Coot stayed firmly on them. Fortunately I spotted a pair of Coots with their 3 chicks somewhere else on the island and managed to take a few photos of them. I found it so difficult to choose between two of them that I've added the other shot to my Blipfolio.
